Following the recent news that Borussia Dortmund football club will be getting involved with blockchain technology, Bayern Munich, the German football club is getting ready to enter the world of blockchain-based fantasy football.

Based on the Ethereum blockchain, the fantasy football game known as Sorare already has 100 participant football clubs on its platform including PSG, Juventus and Atletico Madrid.

Bayern Munich now joins the list and has a history of working on projects in relation to blockchain. Last year, it collaborated with Stryking Entertainment in order to produce digital collectables of all of its players.

As a little bit of background on the platform, it works as a five a side football game with new players picking an initial squad of 10 blockchain-based player cards. From here, they can create their tournament team and have fun!

The football club announced the collaboration with Sorare to its fanbase highlighting that the top 20 leagues in the world are available on the gaming platform which has gone all around the world.
